Lucknow Lucknow is the capital of Uttar Pradesh, India and the largest city in the state. It is a known for its elaborate cuisine and 'Chikankaari' or exquisite shadow-work embroidery on fine muslin cloth. Today, the city is dotted with remnants of its rich cultural past.

Finding alcohol here is not a problem, but there aren't many non-seedy bars, except at five-star restaurants.
