Mary Kate Olsen demands Immunity

Heath Ledger's Oscar Worthy spirit continues to haunt tabloids. Here is the latest bit in the saga of his truly tragic demise.

US Police investigators report that they will drop the criminal case into how Heath Ledger obtained two powerful painkillers that contributed to his death.

According to the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), they found Oxycodone and Hydrocodone in Ledger's system that were obtained with false prescriptions.

Last Monday Ledger's friend, actress Mary-Kate Olsen of Full House fame demanded immunity from prosecution before she would speak to the DEA about the actor's drug use and his death. Olsen was the first person contacted by the masseuse who discovered Ledger's body.

Though investigations have been suspended, the case could still be revived if any evidence of a crime emerges.

Ledger was found dead at his home in January after an accidental overdose. In the movie The Dark Knight he played The Joker, his last role in cinema... it is deservedly considered a masterpiece and will remain immortal in the ages to come.
